2021-2022 Board Members

Aaron DeGagne (he/him)
Aaron started curling in 2009 when he joined his high school‘s curling team on a whim. Although his coaches didn’t know much about the sport, Aaron eventually figured out how to throw a rock, but draw weight remains a mystery! He is excited to work with the fantastic people on the board, help grow the sport of curling, and spend even more time thinking about curling. Aaron has been a member of Windy City since May 2019.

Barry Hutchings (he/him)
Vice President
Barry started curling 3 1/2 years ago when a learn to curl with Anthony and Christina D’Arco a week before Christmas. After the learn to curl was completed they asked if we wanted to join the league that started in 2 weeks and we said yes. Greg Torkleson and Anthony were our Skip and Vice and we won the Cub Championship, WOW this curling thing is easy, NOT! I just love the people, the new friendships and the camaraderie of WCCC.
Favorite Bonspiel: Wauwautosa Mens Spiel...Gotta love the Boat Races...I JUST ABOUT WON!!

Ray Stone (he/him)

Ray joined Windy City Curling in 2018 when he joined a rookie league with his brother and sister-in-law. Like many curlers, his first exposure to the sport was by watching it during the Olympics. In addition to curling, Ray is a Chicago Cubs season ticket holder and enjoys bowling and golfing in his spare time.
Favorite Bonspiel: TCCA The Big Spiel: January 2020 with Mike Lerner, Kerry Myers and Jim Sikma.

Jon Henderson (he/him)
Finance
Jon grew up watching curling on TV as a kid, but never played until 2015, when his wife bought him a Learn-To-Curl as a Christmas present. This rekindled his love for the sport, and he joined Windy City Curling’s next league. When he’s not curling, Jon is the Director of Finance at Circle K’s Heartland Divisional office in Lisle, IL. He loves spending time with his family. His wife, Tonya - also a member of WC3 - his daughter, Courtney, who he coached in softball for 8 years, and his son, Max, who you will see on the ice at times, as well.
Favorite bonspiel: Cedar Rapids Curling Club Cedarspiel 2017 with Tonya, Zac Wiles, and Anthony D’Arco.

Eric Reithel (he/him)
Secretary

Eric Baudais (he/him)
Director
Eric joined Windy City Curling in 2019 when the dedicated facility first opened. He was looking for a curling club because he recently moved to the Chicago area. I found a wonderful club with great people and awesome curling! I started curling in Tulsa during an Olympic learn to curl in 2018. I remember being a first time curler and taking 5 tries before I had enough balance to throw a rock. I was addicted to curling and curled as much as I could. I work as a digital analytics consultant helping companies mature their measurement and analytics practice. My other hobbies are rennacting, video games and baking; just ask the Sunday morning crew. I have a newborn daughter and try to spend as much time with her.
Favorite Bonspiel: Food Truck Bonspiel!!!
