Rookie Skills

Rookie leagues are taught by our experienced instructors and club members who, believe it or not, started off in a Learn to Curl class, just like you! They'll build your confidence and let you learn at your own pace. Curling is a sport for everyone after all.
Each week focuses on a different skill through instruction time both on and off the ice. Topics we cover include: communicating as a team; sweeping fundamentals; lining up shots and delivery weight; practicing "Ready Curling" to keep games moving at-pace; and The Spirit of Curling, which guides our on-ice ethics and fair-play behavior. At the end of the league, you'll be ready to jump into any regular league!
