The Drag Effect: Rain on Me

We are back on cold, hard ice and ready to welcome 16 teams to all of the Pride-filled fun this "family"-friendly bonspiel can offer!

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! - WAITLIST STARTED
UPDATE (Dec. 9, 2024): We are taking team sign-ups for the waitlist. As of right now, we're looking to expand the field at 20 teams (and then again, possibly, at 24); however, in order to do this, we would HAVE to add draws to the night of Thursday, February 13th, 2025. If this is the case, we would have to be fair to the players who signed up expecting a Friday-Sunday bonspiel. This means any teams on the Wait List let into the bonspiel would HAVE to travel in early to play Thursday night. 

About our Bonspiel
The Drag Effect follows the American tradition of playing for Pins (and not money). Instead of offering event winners a cut of a cash prize pool, we intend to keep a cooler stocked with a variety of beer and seltzers, non-alcoholic drinks, and water all weekend long. All of it is included in your registration. We also offer full Meals (lunch and dinner) throughout the weekend, along with some great snacks in between.

This way, everyone wins and has a great time, no matter how they perform on the ice!

NEW THIS YEAR: We have a theme! For those that don't know, we lost our club this past March when a fire broke out in the business above us. The water used to put it out rained down into our club, flooding our entire space. This cut our last season short and delayed the start of our current season by two months.

But out of those floodwaters we've been inspired!

Since we'd rather be dry, but at least we're alive: we want to you to serve up your best Lady Gaga looks all weekend long. 
Just please don't wear anything out on the ice that could potentially damage the surface (i.e. - glitter, sequins that could fall off, feathers from a boa, etc.).
