Skills Camp 2026

DETAILS: Join us at Windy City Curling the weekend of September 4-6, 2026 for an instructional curling skills & drills camp designed to improve all aspects of your gameplay. Through on-ice instruction and warm-room sessions, this camp will cover ways to improve your delivery, calling a better game as a skip, how to communicate more effectively as a team, ways to prepare for a competition, and more! Club curlers of all abilities/experience are encouraged to participate.

The camp runs Friday afternoon (starting around 1:00 pm), Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning (until about noon-or-so). In short: it follows the timing of a typical weekend bonspiel. Meals and snacks are included, and social time is encouraged. 

While the actual content will be tailored to your ability, sessions will include: balance/delivery basics, line of delivery, release, sweeping, communication, weight control, timing and judging, strategy, reading the ice, angles, skipping, team dynamics, mental toughness, and more.

PRICING: $465 per person. Your $125 deposit secures your spot in the camp. The remaining balance will be invoiced to you once registration closes (likely end-of-August or early September).

NEW THIS YEAR: Responding to feedback from previous camps, this year's event will start earlier on Friday afternoon, and include another instructor for more personal attention during ice-sessions.

HEADS-UP for OUT-OF-TOWNERS: Windy City Curling members have priority registration until noon on Monday, June 1, 2026. After that, the Skills Camp opens up to everyone. As of right now, we do not have any sort of hotel room block reserved, so you would have to seek out your own local accomodations during your stay.
