Summer Camp 2023

WINDY CITY CURLING's SUMMER CAMP IS BACK!
Taught by Curling Professional and Coach Brian Chick & World Champion Curler and Coach Reid Carruthers! 

JUST ANNOUNCED (5/11/23): Welcome to the instructor line-up 3-time U.S. champion, 2-time Canadian champion Jamie Sinclair! Our Summer Camp reached 32 campers, and we couldn't be more honored and thrilled to welcome our third instructor. 

Due to popular demand, we're expanding the number of campers to 36, as well!

If our Summer Camp sells out again, please still join the Waitlist. If demand is high enough, and we're able to, Windy City will look into opening up the Camp further, with the potential of bringing in another instructor. 

DETAILS: Join us at Windy City Curling the weekend of July 7-9, 2023 for an instructional curling summer camp set to improve all facets of your game. With both on-ice and warm room sessions, we're covering everything from improving your delivery, skip strategy, team communication, preparing for a competition, and more!

Some class sessions will be taught to the whole camp, while others will break everyone into a focused group. This year will feature two Focus Tracks for you to pick from, based on what you'd like to improve: Beginner Breakthrough & Competition Ready. 

Beginner Breakthrough is designed to help “newer” curlers (roughly four years of experience or less) "breakthrough" into an intermediate level of skill by locking down the basics of the game, and forming healthy habits to make you a better player. (Sample topics include: honing your delivery, improving your sweeping and weight judgment, timing rocks)
Competition Ready (five-years experience or more) is designed to go deeper into the mental and physical aspects of the Roaring Game to help players who have their eyes on a Playdown and/or National Event. (Sample Topics include: getting the most out of a team practice, skills drills to run, mental toughness)

Some sessions will offer an “elective” not assigned to a particular track so campers can pick the topicthey'd like most.
These sessions may include: delivery line and release,strategy, mental preparation, team dynamics, angles, and more!

PRICING
$375 per person

In addition to the curling instruction, the cost of the camp includes food and snacks, plentyof social time with the coaches, and a lot of educational material. Your $125 deposit secures your spot in the camp, and the remaining balance will be invoiced to you once registration closes.
